Getting to Cedar Point RV Resort and Marina

From Calgary, Alberta

6.5–7.5 hours | ~550 km

Route:

  1. Take Trans-Canada Hwy (Hwy 1 W) toward Banff.
  2. Near Castle Junction, take Hwy 93 S (Kootenay National Park).
  3. Continue to Radium Hot Springs.
  4. Follow Hwy 95 S → Hwy 93/95 S toward Cranbrook.
  5. Near Cranbrook, take Hwy 3 W toward Creston.
  6. In Creston, turn right onto BC-3A N (along Kootenay Lake).
  7. Follow BC-3A ~45–50 km north → you’ll reach Cedar Point on your left.

From Vancouver, British Columbia

 9–10 hours | ~700 km

Route (fastest typical):

  1. Take Hwy 1 E → Hwy 5 (Coquihalla) toward Kamloops.
  2. Exit onto Hwy 97C (Okanagan Connector) toward Kelowna.
  3. Continue south via Hwy 97 → Hwy 3 E toward Osoyoos.
  4. Follow Hwy 3 E over Kootenay Pass to Creston.
  5. In Creston, turn onto BC-3A N.
  6. Follow ~45–50 km → Cedar Point.

From Nelson, British Columbia

~2–2.5 hours (including ferry) | ~75 km

Route:

  1. Drive east from Nelson on BC-3A toward Balfour.
  2. Take the Balfour → Kootenay Bay ferry (free, ~35 min).
  3. Once off the ferry, continue south on BC-3A.
  4. Drive ~35 km → Cedar Point will be on your right.

From Sand Point, Idaho

2.5–3 hours | ~170 km (plus border time)

Route:

  1. Head north on US-95 N toward Bonners Ferry (~45 min).
  2. Continue north to the Porthill–Rykerts Border Crossing.
  3. After crossing into Canada, continue straight into Creston.
  4. In Creston, turn right onto BC-3A N (toward Kootenay Lake).
  5. Follow BC-3A along the lake for ~45–50 km.
  6. Cedar Point RV Resort & Marina will be on your left.
